Threshold Oil Painting – Original Framed Surrealist Art 57x69

This painting is an exploration of liminality. The painting process itself takes place in a liminal space, not here, and not here. It is the result of a dialogue between myself and the marks and shapes that emerge from the application pf paint on the surface of the canvas.

This dialogue is mediated by a third “voice”, that of the muses, if you will, which points out some kind of meaning attributed to forms, colors, shapes, space in the painting. The results of this painting seemed to me to reveal this subtle interplay quite well.
